Welcome, everyone! I’m sorry that this post is a little bit late. I’m still under the weather, and Alayna was working last night so she was very busy with things more important than reminding me to put up a post. However, I didn’t forget about you all, and I do have a writing exercise for you. I’m also sorry that we missed yesterday’s post. As I said a couple of weeks ago, we’re trying something new and it will probably take a little adjustment. However, we’ll get it after a while. Anyway, However, I do have a scene challenge for you. So, if you don’t already know the rules: I give you a prompt and you write a scene off of it. Try to keep your scene under five hundred words, and try to keep it in the same tone as the introduction. If I give a line that is very dark and depressing, then I don’t want to see a scene about a drunken monkey in a tutu…it just doesn’t fit. If I do give you a line about a drunken monkey in a tutu, then you should probably try for a funny scene.
Your Challenge: “Arnold pointed down at the headline that read ‘Nordic Woman Sandwiches 50% Off,’ his cold, fixed smile inviting…”
