Hello everyone, time for another Philosophical Story Challenge. I know that sometimes I like to dig deep and go for the heart of a matter with these challenges, but this week I want to stay more surface level. Since this blog is ultimately about writing, and our goal is to write stories, I want to give you a specific kind of story to write this week. Our theme is world views and perception. While we’re not touching on any one specific philosophy this week, I do want us to take some time and really think about the possible outcomes different choices can have within the story and how those can be perceived differently. I want our stories this week to be about people of opposing worldviews having to work together on some task. Consider what challenges this will bring with it. Of course, things such as types of conflict and their resolutions are going to be almost entirely dependent on your story and characters, but the fact that there will be conflict is inevitable. How will your characters handle this conflict? Will they be the cause of the conflict? Just some things to consider as you begin writing. Well, that about sums up what I have to say, so start writing! Remember to keep your stories under 1,000 words if you want to post them on here, but feel free to write more!
