So, I just finished explaining the character creation system of Baldur’s Gate to a friend who’d never played the game before. Here’s the thing, I was in high school when Baldur’s Gate came out. It’s a video game from the late ’90s that is still a fun, popular game. This should tell you something about the quality of the game itself. Sometimes new things are great, but sometimes the old things just can’t be beaten. RPG game designers have been trying to live up to Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate 2 for almost fifteen years (which is probably more like a century in computer time :P). I encourage you to do your best to write something that has the same kind of staying power. So, this week is a simple picture challenge. You take the picture below and write a story explaining it. With the picture I’ve got for you… good luck:
