Sometimes I wonder if germs are real. Does anyone else have this problem? It’s not that I don’t believe in germs or that I think all science is a crock (though I’m sure there are some people who do). It’s just that, some days, gnomes, curses, and angry wizards make much more sense to me than germs, atoms, and quarks. Admittedly, there are moments when I wonder if God is real also, but that doesn’t mean I’m about to lose my faith. However, the mind does funny things to us, especially when we have too much time to sit and think. Anyway, I have a scene challenge for you. Anyway, if you don’t already know the rules: I give you a prompt and you write a scene off of it. Try to keep your scene under five hundred words, and try to keep it in the same tone as the introduction. If I give a line that is very dark and depressing, then I don’t want to see a scene about a drunken monkey in a tutu…it just doesn’t fit. If I do give you a line about a drunken monkey in a tutu, then you should probably try for a funny scene.
Your prompt: “Lurg rolled his eyes…”
