I hope that all of you had a wonderful Christmas, and that if you intended to get any post-holiday shopping done, that it was safe and productive (I’ve worked retail during the holidays… people are crazy). So, you all know that Friday means it’s a day for a plot challenge, and I hope that you’ve been looking forward to it. Today’s challenge is a setting challenge. You’ve probably done these before, and I have no doubt that you’ll do them again. So, I’m going to give you a set of general guidelines, and your job is to create a setting that fits those guidelines. Within the guidelines provided you’re free to do whatever you want with your setting.

So, you’re setting guidelines:

1) Your setting must be inspired by a holiday. This doesn’t need to be Christmas inspired, but this setting must be connected to a fairly major holiday (you can’t do Star Wars day or Funny Socks day).

2) Your setting must include a villain such as Krampus (for Christmas).

3) Your setting must not be larger than a city, and something smaller is suggested. Consider a Halloween graveyard or Santa’s workshop.

4) Your setting must be a place that normal humans could not generally go, but must also include a way for normal humans to enter it.
